About Me

I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and moved to Madison in 1997. I have grown to love this area and all it has to offer and now consider it my home, but the UP will always have my heart. I have been blessed with a marriage of over 20 years and two amazing children. In our spare time we love to garden, search the beaches of Lake Superior for the perfect rocks and hike anywhere in search of waterfalls. If you have never visited the Upper Peninsula, I highly recommend you do, it is truly a magical place.
Areas of Interest & Experience
I developed and interest in becoming a therapist because of my work with one as a teen. I earned my Bachelors in Social Work in 1997 and my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2003. I have also struggled with my own journey through infertility and postpartum issues. This does not make me an expert in your personal experience. It provides a foundation for us to create an environment of true empathy, acceptance and understanding in the therapeutic relationship. In addition to my personal experience I have obtained specific education and training in some of the following areas.
